Meet Dr. Matthew Tanner

Growing up in Issaquah, Dr. Matt attended the University of Washington School of Dentistry for his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) and the University of Utah for his General Practice Residency. He participates in continuing education to learn how to offer a more comfortable experience to patients and how to provide longer lasting and more conservative treatments.

When Dr. Matt joined his father at Tanner Smiles, they became a true family practice. Dr. Matt says, “I love that our patients are our family, friends, and neighbors. I love building relationships with them and seeing them in the community.”

Dr. Matt has a wonderful wife and five daughters. He spends his time outside the office playing with his sweet girls, family movie nights, playing board games, and spending time with the love of his life.

Dr. Matt shares his father’s desire to improve people’s lives. He went with his father on a trip to Honduras as a teenager and Jamaica right before dental school. Dr. Matt also regularly attends and volunteers at his church, which brings him joy as he serves others and learns with others to weather the storms of life.
